Critical Essay – Tips on How To Write An Effective One
There are many essay types a writer can choose from to express his views and ideas. Amongst these the two most common among students are the critical essay and the personal essay. Almost everyone has written at least one of these two essay types during their school and college years.
A critical essay generally consist of a review of a writing, be it a book or a journal or an article, even a movie or a theater, anything the writer feels a need to review. Actually this form of essay goes more than just a review. It may not necessarily be a negative one. The writer may write the essay entirely in agreement with the book read or the movie watched. The writer who wants to present this form of essay or a review on a certain topic must go through the article or whatever he is reviewing thoroughly and with a completely unbiased mind and an open attitude. He has to evaluate how well the topic matches with the presented matter, whether everything is well explained and all necessary data is correctly presented. Then only the writer can decide or is entitled to give a positive or a negative review.
