Dear Rebecca,

Please see following extract from Wikipedia:

|Criticism is the judgement (using analysis and evaluation) of the merits and faults
|of the actions or work of another individual. Criticism can mean merely to evaluate
|without necessarily finding fault; however, usually the word implies the expression
|of disapproval.

Critical analysis is called critical only because it is a form of analysis where you apply your critical skills - finding merits and faults. However, criticism never means that you treat the action positively, and critical analysis can show and prove that the action has more merits than faults.

We hope it was clear enough, please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with.

Sincerely, Site Admin

Dear Staci,

The body of the paper is its main part. It can consist of one, three, five or more paragraphs. The answers to your research questions should be found in the body of the paper (while in conclusion you are just repeating them). Apart from just writing your ideas, you should write arguments to support them in the body of the paper.
Critical essay is something you write to show you disagree with the author's point of view or disaprove what he is trying to convey. Critical analysis essay has nothing to do with criticism - it is impersonal assessing of a literary work you are writing your essay on.
